Sonoma County Paramedic Association || About

The SCPA is a non-profit educational corporation, organized for the purpose of providing training for both the general public and EMS professionals. Educational opportunities are offered through low cost courses and continuing education seminars. Members of the SCPA receive discounts on tuition in the various courses/seminars.

The SCPA is a recognized community training center for the American Heart Association and is recognized by the California EMS Authority as an ALS/BLS continuing education provider.

The SCPA membership is made up of people from all walks of life, including public and private EMS providers, law enforcement, fire service, EMS industry and private citizens. By associating with the SCPA, members can further their own education, provide public education and enhance Sonoma County's ability to provide the best in emergency medical care.

GOALS

To promote optimum pre-hospital care to the victim of injury or sudden illness.

To provide an open forum to discuss issues and solve problems pertaining to emergency pre-hospital care.

To lobby for issues impacting the pre-hospital care provider and the citizens of our region

To present new ideas, methods, or tools to EMS in our region which could positively impact the EMS community and/or patient care.

To support and work with the appropriate agencies, hospitals, providers and communities to address EMS issues in a manner which is constructive and in the best interest of quality patient care.
